Hi, I’m Rachael Bennett, a product designer with solid experience creating user-centered digital products under real-world constraints. I turn complex ideas into simple, elegant, and scalable solutions—and I care deeply about clarity, accessibility, and craft. I believe design should reduce friction, respect users’ time, and quietly make everyday experiences better.

I’ve delivered redesigns of core website pages that improved visual hierarchy and clarified value, and I’ve rebuilt design systems to improve consistency and cut developer handoff time. Across projects with startups, I’ve helped move teams away from “designing for the moment” toward scalable systems that support long-term growth. I collaborate closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders to translate user research into accessible, practical solutions.

I hold a BA in Graphic & Visual Communication Design from American University and recently completed a UX/UI bootcamp. My aesthetic leans toward clean, modern, and human-centered—where strong visual structure supports intuitive interaction. I care about building products that feel thoughtful, usable, and durable, not just trendy.

Outside of design, I draw on 11 years of competitive volleyball (including four years at the Division I level), which shaped my team-first mindset, discipline, and comfort working under real-world constraints. I also find creative rhythm in jazz music and hands-on making through ceramics—both of which influence how I think about flow, balance, and form in design.

I’m currently seeking a full-time product design role where I can help build engaging, scalable products that do real good.
